Today Mr. Ma Ying-jeou, the leader of the opposition Kuomintang (KMT) party, has won 58 per cent of the presidential vote. A record breaking wining of the Taiwan presidential election histry.
The election between Ying-jeou of the KMT and Frank Hsieh of the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP). Ma Ying-jeou will formally takes over on May 20 when Chen Shui-bian, the outgoing president, steps down.
Ying-jeou campaign will help boosting economic links with China and reversing the current pro-independence policies. This is one of the key area that Taiwan politician did not address in the past 8 years, now with hope to be developed.
I am extremely please to be part of Taiwanese political history and support the KMT development in bring Taiwan’s economic back to the level where it should be.
Here is a great campaign video produced by the KMT prior to the election. This is the way politics should be. Go KMT.
